ThermoWorks is by far one of the best meat thermometers that you can buy.
ThermoWorks is not only fast, it is accurate. As you already know, a couple of degrees off makes the difference between nice, juicy steak and eating a dried out mess.
Why spend a premium on an awesone ribeye and dry it out. DONT….get a ThermoWorks!
Here is a change from the typical corn recipe.
Everything is always better with bacon and bacon grease.
Dice up and crisp up 1/2 lb of bacon. When crisped up, remove the bacon. Add in corn (I like to use fresh corn and remove the kernels from the cob. However, you can use frozen corn that is defrosted). Sauté in bacon fat until starting to brown. Add 2 tbs sugar, salt and pepper. Cook and stir for an additional 3-5 min. Serve hot.
Everyone loves it!
Enjoy your family, friends and the great outdoors.
Ode to Edna Lewis. There is nothing like pan fried chicken, biscuits, sweet corn and gravy for a Sunday dinner.
My wife purchased me a book of recipes from Edna Lewis after watching Top Chef. The Edna Lewis cook book is amazing and nothing like you have ever read.
Here are some pics of my work in progress.
Edna Lewis shows her love of food and the environment in which it is cultivated.
Pick up the Edna Lewis today. You will not be disappointed.
My family loved this meal. FYI-recipes to follow in the near future.
Get outside and enjoy your family, friends and food.
Yummy!! One of my favorite party meals is pulled pork.
Recipe to follow. However, the long and short is:
Inject with salt, the types of peppers and apple cider. Typical BBQ rub of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dry mustard.
Put the shoulder on my Weber at 220degrees with kingsford charcoal, hickory and apple.
I keep temp consistent with my thermoworks smoke until I hit an internal temp of at least 190. Than shredding time.
Sorry, no finished product today. Guests were eating while I was shredding.
We are in the age of coolers. Inovation around coolers has caused a flurry of high tech, very much over priced, coolers.
But then came RTIC Coolers. Being person than enjoys hunting, fishing and BBQ, there is nothing more disrespectful to the animal than allowing the harvest to spoil.
will RTIC Coolers is the solution for me. Not only does the cooler hold ice for 10+ days, they are sized perfect and a better price than their competitors.
Go pick up an RTIC COOLER and cup while you are at it…you will not be disappointed.
Thank you to all those amazing women and men that had and are protecting our values and freedom.
Memorial Day weekend, I like to sit out back and Q some big cuts of meat while shooting archery with the kids. This weekend I am going to start with some pulled pork.
Looking forward to using my new Smoke from Thermoworks.
Standby for some awesome pics tomorrow.
Enjoy your Family, Friends and the Outdoors! Remember, if it weren’t for our service women and men we would not have the freedom we have today.
